This painting is 11 by 15 ” painted in traditional Watercolor on really great 300 lb hand made Watercolor paper. Its for sale for $200. 00 I love trees and this painting became all about this tree. I sometimes look at trees and think “these trees were here before me and will be here after I’m gone”. Its amazing how long they live.

This painting is painted with the Zoltan Szabo knife technique. He taught this technique to me during my first session with him. I’ve used it ever sense. Its fun, quick and provides a great line for trees, grass and rocks.

This painting was painted with my Protege or in the past they would have called her my apprentice. I was demonstrating a few techniques, how to use a palette or pin knife in watercolor and the dreaded gradient wash. She gessoes boards and is helping me while I teach her the whats, where’s and hows of being a modern day Artist here in the Charlotte NC area. Soon she’ll tackle my data base so maybe you’ll be getting a note from me soon.
