5 by 7 watercolor on ampersand. $50.00

This serene water painting is an Oil painting done on a canvas panel. The size is 24 by 30 and can be purchased for only $400.00. As it’s on a panel it can easily be mailed directly to your home ( continental US) for $5.50 USD.
This painting is part of my ” Tribute to Monet” series, it’s slightly more grayed down than many of my usual more colorful water paintings. I think the warm yellows are set off very nicely by the grayed down blue of the water.
This artist card is 2.5 by 3.5 and is painted in oil. This is part of my series” This Beautiful Earth” which is all about conservation of water on our planet and the need to protect water from pollution.
$15.00 plus $2.5 for postage.
This beautiful painting was inspired by the warm sunny days and cool nights we have had this week, Lake Wylie is a beautiful lake any time of the year but I do love it even more in spring. After the long winter months of brown, brown, and more brown, ( even the water in the lake turns muddy) the trees explode into the most vivid shades of green. Of course with spects of magenta where the red buds peek thru and often the wisteria will lace the fringes of the tree tops with its lavender trail of color and who can forget the dog woods with their soft kiss of buttery yellow. All of these trees give you that brightness and the shades of easter which always seems to complement all that luscious green.
Approximately 6.5 by 8.5 inches watercolor on paper.

Another beautiful small 6 by 8 inch painting. It’s part of my series ” tribute to Monet” these paintings are all water paintings and they have all been very different. Some are very realistic, many are impressionistic and this one is leaning towards abstraction. Ya never know what I’ll paint, so plan to come back and see what’s up for tomorrow. $75.00 oil on canvas.

Here is a photo of just one of the four baby turtles I have living in my water garden, I plan to take them down to the creek at the wild life preserve ( in North Carolina) when it gets a bit cooler.
They are very shy and usually hang out in the mud at the bottom of the water garden but he is pretty small so I can still pick him up.

This 8 by 10 (inch) oil painting on wood is for sale for $95.00. I love the mix of colors and the dark colors next to the lighter & brighter colors. Its part of my “Tribute to Monet” series and I find this method of painting complicated and yet simple. these paintings tend to be very heavily pigmented and usually take at least a week to dry because of the amount of paint used to achieve this look. Its done with palette knives and a special little tool I made, which looks like a spatula. the surface seems rich. I enjoy painting in this style but cannot decide how it will work with anything other than water.
